Review - Lakme Eyeconic Kajal, MAybelline Gel Eyeliner and Coloressence Eye Pen

eyeconic, maybelline gel liner and coloressence pen

As i Love applying kajal to every possible space in ma eyes i have been searching for a suitable smudge free and easy to use kajal. After using kajals of few brands (like colorbar intense kohl eyeliner and diana of london long wear eyeliner which were disasters)  i ended up in having my personal favorites. While most of the kajals ended up in making me look like a panda after 2 or 3 hours i got the best results from the above 3.here am going to review those 3 kajals.

Maybelline gel eyeliner

as you can see maybelline gel eyeline comes in a black carton which contains a brush and a tiiiny galss tube [its so tiny i wonder if it would last atleast 2-3 months :(  ] just one swipe  will give you that desired lines. but those with unsteady hands..donot come near  this product! this will give you a nightmare
Pros:
  • do not smudge even if you have oily eyelids and watery eyes! what more would you wish for however applying a bit powder under eyelids before application of kajal will make your kajal last even much longer
  • travel friendly- the brush comes with a plastic top and the glass tub comes with an aluminium cap. You can easliy carry it in your vanity bag
  • can be applied on lower eyelid - unlike eyepens which wont work on lower eyelids, this product can be used to beautify your inner as well as outer eye.
  • it has a very creamy texture which glided quite smoothly and dries quickly after application, very difficult to smudge
  • matte finish- as this product is matte finish it doesnt give you a glossy liquid look those matte finish lovers are gonna absolutly love maybelline gel liner
cons
  • a bit pricey- saw that the same product is available online at rs 375  but  i wanted to buy it after seeing a test piece .Being imported and marketted by Loreal india, it is priced at rs 410 for 2.8g.
  • even though it doesnt smudge after 3-4 hours you will find that it fades a little. This can be out ridden by applying a lil black eyeshadow on top of your kajal.
Lakme eyeconic Kajal
This is a product from Lakme eyeconic range. the kajal is a twit up pen and most travel friendly among the 3.

Pros
  • i absolutely loved it! for rs 199 have to say the results were amazing. It has a more intense color (but not blackest black) if you want to get a jet black look you have to apply 2 swipes.
  • do not smudge easily- the kajal stayed intact for 4-5 hours ( as i said i have bit oily lids and watery sensitive eyes)
  • donot irritate waterline- the best thing i loved about this product is that unlike most kajals it glides just smoothly on your water line . it does not cause burning or irritating sensation. just 2 swipes and you are all set to go.
  • no fading- even if it smudges a lil, the color doesnt fade away or start to flake.it fades evenly

cons:
  • 10 hr clim defnitly not true. even though it has amazing staying power have to stay the after 5 hours the kajal on your lower water line will completely dissapear( i dont know if this happens just wth ma eyes) i drew winged eye with eyeconic kajal thickly applied on ma inner rims and making wings and extending on outside with coloressence eye pen.By  eveing when i loouked at mirror what i saw was just the wings and kajal had vanished , hafta say i looked a bit funny then.
  • Detail list of ingredients not specified
  • tends to break if correct pressure is not applied
Coloressence eye pen
This was the first eye pen i used. I bought it just coz i got it at a lesser price  form coloressence stall while visting a fair.I Initially hated eye pens but after using this i forgot all abt those twist up pens and need to sharpen kajals.
 Pros:
  • shiny black look- with just 1 swipe you will get that liquid glossy intense black line and dries almost instantly
  • verry good staying power- though will start to fade a lil after a couple of washes the staying power is soo gud. i applied the product before going to college at morning and the lines created by this eye pen was still left there wen i left collge at evening ( i had used eyeconic kajal for inner rims and it had vanished completely )
  • easy to use- you dont have to sit by drawing lines again and again in 1 swipe you can create either thin or thick lines
cons:
  • not at all travel friendly- the pen have to be stored upside down all the time to prevent the tip from drying. so cant be kept inside your purse
  • wnt smudge or flake but will fade a lil after 6 hrs an not completely water proof
  • cant be used inside eyes. if you usethis eyepen you will have to use a good kajal for inner rims.
so in among above 3 its really hard to choose 1 so i mix up and use the products.Like applying eyeconic kajal on inner eyes and coloressence on lower eyelids or touching up with eye pen after applying maybelline gel liner to get a more intense look.

How To Dress For An Interview

The face you show to your prospective employer is of crucial importance. It doesn’t mean you have to have a Angelina Jolie like look or have perfect facial features. You need to dress up in a wake that it should exhibit your professionalism, confidence and reliability. First impression you make on the interviewer is the best impression. Here are a few tips to keep in mind if you have an upcoming interview:

  • Do not put make up in a dash. Give yourself time to make sure that evry thing blends in. After all, slow and steady wins the race.
  • Do not apply heavy eyemake up.  It is said among the employees that heavy eye make up lovers are often party lovers. Smokey eyes with loud eyeshadow  are not meant for interviews.
  • Use a natural color lipstick of matte finish. Heavy and too bright lip color lovers are said to be over confident.
  • Want to play it safe by avoiding make up totally? Na ah!  The employer may think that you are in the edge of an emotional breakdown or under depression. Dont totally avoid make up.
  • Blush is not meant for a professional interview. Try to avoid it as much as possible. If required, use soft hues of natural pink.
  • In case of eye make up, Use  a mascara to open up your eye and give a thin line using eye liner for the lower eye. This is more than enough for an interview.
  • Keep Your piercings away - If you have a number of piercings, keep them away when you are getting ready to attend an interview.

How To Prevent Acnes

Acnes are often nightmares… Not only for teens but for all age groups. It can be embarrassing when you are going out on a date or have an important official meeting. Here are some useful tips to help you fight them back:

Clean your face -  keeping your skin clean and clear so as to ensure you don’t have dirt stuck in your pores is important whether you have acne or not.Use a gentle cleanser ( a anti acne face wash will be good avoid harsh deodorant soaps)

Use a moisturizer - Use a moisturizer that prevents skin drying and peeling.  If you have oily skin ,use gel moisturizer and if you have dry skin, use moisturizing lotion.

Keep a watch on what you put on your hair - some fragrance oils and chemicals used on hair can cause skin irritation and thus acnes. Always stick to a gentle shampoo and conditioner.

Eat healthy – avoid too oily and fries foods. Drink plenty of water as its vital for fleshing out toxins off your body. Also avoid junk foods as they have an adverse affect on your skin ( and of course weight!) Recent studies show that taking foods rich in vitamin A and Beta Carotene can help build a beautiful skin.

Exercise daily – Exercising not only helps in maintaining shape and having a sound body, the more you sweat the more cleaner your skin pores get.

Don’t pop or sqeeze your pimples – you probably would have heard this like a million times and you know you should keep your hands off your pimples. But often to get rid of visible acne you tend to pop them. This increases the risk of acnes coming back again along with leaving scares.

Use minimal make up – try to avoid foundations. If you have to use it make sure that you wash it off at the end of the day.

Beware of sun  - every time you step out, use a good quality sunscreen ( the ones you get from a drug store are the best) Make sure you buy a sunscreen which suits your skin type. Re apply during the day if you are out to protect your skin from sun
