Acnes are often nightmares… Not only for teens but for all
age groups. It can be embarrassing when you are going out on a date or have an
important official meeting. Here are some useful tips to help you fight them back:
Clean your face - keeping your skin clean and clear so as to ensure you don’t have dirt stuck in
your pores is important whether you have acne or not.Use a gentle cleanser ( a
anti acne face wash will be good avoid harsh deodorant soaps)
Use a moisturizer - Use a moisturizer that prevents skin
drying and peeling. If you have oily
skin ,use gel moisturizer and if you have dry skin, use moisturizing lotion.
Keep a watch on what you put on your hair - some fragrance
oils and chemicals used on hair can cause skin irritation and thus acnes.
Always stick to a gentle shampoo and conditioner.
Eat healthy – avoid too oily and fries foods. Drink plenty
of water as its vital for fleshing out toxins off your body. Also avoid junk
foods as they have an adverse affect on your skin ( and of course weight!)
Recent studies show that taking foods rich in vitamin A and Beta Carotene can
help build a beautiful skin.
Exercise daily – Exercising not only helps in maintaining
shape and having a sound body, the more you sweat the more cleaner your skin pores
get.
Don’t pop or sqeeze your pimples – you probably would have
heard this like a million times and you know you should keep your hands off
your pimples. But often to get rid of visible acne you tend to pop them. This
increases the risk of acnes coming back again along with leaving scares.
Use minimal make up – try to avoid foundations. If you have to use it make sure that you wash it off at the end of the day.
Beware of sun - every
time you step out, use a good quality sunscreen ( the ones you get from a drug
store are the best) Make sure you buy a sunscreen which suits your skin type. Re
apply during the day if you are out to protect your skin from sun
